A Joyful Silver and Saphire Jubilee Celebration at Vieugy
On the 6th of November, a spirit of joy and thanksgiving filled the Community at Vieugy as we celebrated the Silver Jubilee of Sr. Marie Pierre and Sr. Jacqueline and the Sapphire Jubilee (65 years) of Sr. Marie Rolande.

It was a family celebration, meaning that only the sisters of our congregation were present, making it an intimate and fraternal gathering. To enable the participation of our elderly sisters, the celebration was held at Vieugy. From the early hours of the morning, joy radiated on every face. The chapel and hall were beautifully adorned with flowers and decorations, creating a festive atmosphere. The celebration began at 11:30 a.m. with an apéritif, followed by a festive meal (agape) graciously served by the staff of Vieugy.
The highlight of the day was the Eucharistic Celebration, which took place at 3:00 p.m. The Holy Mass was presided over by Fr. Emmanuel Blanc, Vicar General, concelebrated by Fr. Vincent Rossant, Parish Priest of Annecy, and Fr. Scaria, Parish Priest of Alby – sur - Cheran. The celebration began with a graceful entrance dance performed by the young sisters to the hymn “Jubilez, criez de joie”, joyfully accompanying the jubilarians and priests to the altar. Sister Tessy, the Delegate, thanked God for the gift of the jubilarians and for their vocation in our religious family. The choir, led by Sister Elisabeth Udrisard with the support of other sisters, uplifted hearts in prayer and praise throughout the liturgy.

After Communion, each jubilarian shared a heartfelt testimony of her vocation journey, expressing gratitude to God and to all those who had played a part in nurturing her call. Following the Holy Mass, there was a felicitation ceremony and the traditional jubilee cake cutting, marking the culmination of this joyful day.It was truly a day of thanksgiving, joy, and togetherness—a celebration of faith, fidelity, and family spirit.

God be praised!
